Oppo has disclosed the public beta enrollment for ColorOS 13 for three smartphone models in particular areas. The enrollment period only lasted until August 4. On Android 13, the upcoming OS version will be built. According to a rumour quoting industry insiders, Oppo's new ColorOS 13 will be made available worldwide this month. The new OS version will also be available for handsets in the Oppo Reno 8 series, according to the report. The upgrade is supposedly coming to the Reno 8 series in September.

91Mobiles reports, citing sources in the industry, that Oppo will launch the Android 13–based ColorOS 13 globally this month. The update is supposedly coming to the Oppo Reno 8 series in September.

The information was released a few days after Oppo Find X5, Find X5 Pro, and Oppo Find N users in a few markets were invited to participate in the ColorOS 13 public beta test.

It should be noted that Oppo stated the business will only take applications up until August 4. Only 1,000 people were accepted into Oppo's ColorOS 13 public beta test. Future beta testers are anticipated to be added by the company. Users of the Oppo Find X5 and Find X5 Pro in China, the UAE, France (unlocked models), Australia (unlocked models), Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and France (unlocked models) were asked to sign up to test the ColorOS 13 public beta.

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer also extended an invitation to Chinese owners of the Oppo Find N to sign up to participate as public beta testers for ColorOS 13. The business had additionally stated that it will examine the application and choose the testers in five working days. Selected customers of the aforementioned Oppo devices will receive the first public beta of ColorOS 13 via an OTA update.

Additionally, the business had noted a few problems with the ColorOS 13 public beta. Oppo called attention to issues with near field communication (NFC), notifications that don't disappear from the notification bar, and display issues with app icons. The business said that when a user clears programmes from the task manager, there is no prompt and the automated screen brightness adjustment is not sensitive. Oppo claims that one of the themes is still incompatible and that sending messages through WhatsApp causes display issues as well.
