This week at Samsung's Unpacked event, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 were introduced to the world. The South Korean smartphone manufacturer reportedly reduced the cost of repairs under the Samsung Care+ subscription plan this year to entice customers to buy the new foldable smartphones. Drops, spills, and broken displays are covered by the Samsung Care+ plan. By spending $29, eligible consumers might replace their cracked screens on new foldable phones (roughly Rs. 2,300).
Samsung offers a year of Samsung Care+ accidental damage protection with their foldable phones. This includes replacing the screen, repairing water damage, and replacing the rear cover, as specified, for accidental damage to the devices. But following the warranty period, customers must pay the full cost of a foldable screen replacement.
According to The Verge, replacing a cracked screen on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 will now cost you $29 on each device. For users with the $11 (about Rs. 800) per month Samsung Care+ plan, the screen repair for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 from the previous generation costs $249 (nearly Rs. 19,800) outside of the regular warranty. According to the Samsung Support page, the cost of these models' out-of-warranty screen repairs without Samsung Care+ can reach $480 (around Rs. 38,200).
