The London-based company's Nothing Phone 1 pricing has increased by Rs. 1,000 for all of its variations in India, it was revealed on Thursday. The manufacturer claims that, among other things, the fluctuating currency exchange rates are to blame for the rise in the smartphone's price. India was included in the smartphone's global launch last month. It has a 6.55-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC, and a transparent rear panel to help the Glyph Interface, which uses LED strips.
The price of the Nothing Phone 1 in India will now start at Rs. 33,999 for the entry-level 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model, Rs. 36,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage version, and Rs. 39,999 for the top-of-the-line 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option, according to a communication from Nothing. Notably, all of the variations will now cost Rs. 1,000 more than they did at launch.
Although the firm stated that the price change will take effect immediately, as of the time this report was being written, the Nothing Phone 1 could still be found on Flipkart with older prices. We anticipate that the pricing change will soon take effect.
Since we began developing Phone (1), a lot has happened, including economic variables like changing currency exchange rates and increasing component costs. We had to adjust our prices in light of the current situation, Nothing stated in a statement.
