Following a series of allegations made by a whistleblower that the social media site had deceived federal regulators about its defences against hackers and spam accounts, Twitter leadership met with the staff. Peiter "Mudge" Zatko, the former security director, has made some startling accusations against the business. Twitter has been losing employees in the midst of its legal dispute with Elon Musk about bots and spam accounts as well as the most recent charges.
According to a story based on audio obtained by Reuters, Twitter's staff attrition currently stands at 18.3 percent, compared to a range of 14 to 16 percent before SpaceX CEO Musk launched his $44 billion (about Rs. 3,51,500) buyout bid.
Parag Agrawal, CEO of Twitter, labelled Zatko's allegations "inaccurate" un the meeting and asserted that the firm never intended to deceive a regulator or the board members.
On September 13, the US Senate Judiciary Committee will hear Zatko's allegations. The claims made by the whistleblower regarding the social media company's methods of misleading regulators will be discussed in the senate. The committee can choose to continue looking into the matter.
The social network business is getting ready to go to the October trial against Musk, who allegedly misinterpreted data from bots in order to withdraw from the takeover deal. While the first announcement of the acquisition was made in April, Twitter sued Musk in July. According to Reuters, a large number of staff left the company once Musk took control.
