The Asus Zenfone 9 has now been released in the international market, following the debut of the Asus ROG Phone 6 series earlier this month. Check out the features of this phone now.

Design & displayThe visual aesthetic of Apple and Huawei smartphones looks to be an influence on the Zenfone 9. It features a metal frame, and the cameras are housed in two enormous circles on the back panel. It has a flat back and corners, a 3.5mm headphone socket on top, a speaker grille, a USB Type-C connector, a primary microphone hole, and a SIM card slot on the bottom. The smartphone's power button and volume rocker both include built-in fingerprint sensors on the right side.

The gadget has a 5.9-inch SAMOLED display at the front with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It supports HDR10+, has a maximum brightness of 1100 nits (often 800 nits), has a pixel density of 445 ppi, a colour accuracy of delta-E1, and supports HDR10+. The display panel features a punch hole for the front camera in the upper left corner and is encircled by narrow bezels on all sides. The chin and forehead are also clearly defined.

Specs

The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's state-of-the-art Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which is manufactured on TSMC's 4nm node and promises to be more energy-efficient and performant than its forerunner. Up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage can be used with the chipset.

Around the device's power button is an intriguing touchpad that can be used for a variety of things, including as accessing the notification drawer, app shortcuts, camera, and media settings. Users may also tap the device's back to activate the camera, flashlight, sound recorder, Google Assistant, and control media thanks to a sensor there. Smart gestures for app drawer shortcuts, camera settings, and other features have been added to the ZenUI on the Zenphone 9 to make it easier to operate with one hand.
