There have been several launches of smartphones with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processors during the past several weeks. It now seems that Black Shark also has plans to introduce a brand-new, high-performance smartphone to the market.

The information was provided by reputable informant Digital Chat Station, who posted it to Weibo (a Chinese microblogging website). The smartphone in question will presumably be a high-end model that once had a 2K display but now has a 1080p (possibly FHD+) resolution, based on the social media post. Additionally, a 4,790mAh battery pack and a twin cell architecture with 100W fast charging support are said to power the Black Shark smartphone.

The smartphone has a triple camera configuration on the back, with a 64 megapixel IMX686 sensor as the primary sensor, along with a 13 megapixel lens and a 2 megapixel camera. A 16 megapixel selfie camera will be located on the front in the meantime. In addition, the tipper mentioned that thereis a good chance that this Black Shark phone will become the next flagship next year. Although, it is entirely likely that it is an upcoming refreshed model of an existing smartphone lineup as well.

The blogger had also provided some additional information about this smartphone back in June 2022. Since the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 wasn't yet revealed, he then referenced the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. At the time, we believed the smartphone might be a member of the Black Shark 5S series, the Chinese company's newest flagship model.
