Just a few hours before its scheduled release in China, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 has been rumoured to include an 8-inch Eco2 OLED 2K primary display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The cover display, which is stated to be a full-HD+ E5 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, is said to be 6.56 inches in size. Abhishek Yadav, a tipster, posted the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2's specifications on Twitter. He asserts that the Xiaomi foldable phone would have an 8-inch, 2K Eco2 OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is allegedly feature a 6.56-inch full-HD+ E5 AMOLED cover display, also with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the handset is claimed to pack the flagship a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC paired with a LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
The smartphone is said to have a triple rear camera arrangement with a 50-megapixel primary camera for images and videos. A 13-megapixel secondary camera and an 8-megapixel third camera could be used with it. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 could include a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging capability. A dual-speaker arrangement and an X-axis haptic motor could be additional features. The phone might be 262g.
The leaker claims that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 will be 5.4mm thick when unfurled, which the company has already verified. According to the tip, the smartphone will be 11.4mm thick when folded. Also confirmed is the inclusion of the manufacturer's unique micro-droplet-shaped hinge.
The news comes a day after Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 4 foldable smartphone alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 4. The Xiaomi's foldable phone will be launched alongside the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4 and Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro in China at an event scheduled for 7pm local time (4.30pm IST).
