Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known and often knowledgeable Apple analyst, predicts that the new iPad Pro models will enter mass production in the final quarter of 2022, or October, November, and December.
But according to Kuo, TSMC, an Apple supplier, won't have its 3nm processors ready until 2023, therefore the iPad Pro will continue to use a 5nm chipset. The smaller the size, measured in nanometers, the more performance can be crammed into a processor.

The iPad Pros will maintain the present 5nm architecture, according to Kuo, even though they will feature new chipsets inside (the current models use the M1 processor). The recently released M2 chip, which is also a 5nm processor, might be used in the upcoming iPad Pro devices.
