OneDrive, a Microsoft cloud storage service, is commemorating its 15th anniversary by adding new features and getting a new look. The most recent upgrade will give OneDrive a new main page called OneDrive Home and a Recent view option that will allow users to filter and locate documents and prioritise their work. The most recent unseen edits, mentions, and comments on the shared documents are displayed in the Activity column, which is also being added. Additionally, Microsoft has added a new Quick access area that shows the most frequently used spaces. Australian users of the OneDrive mobile app will also get a new picture narrative feature.



To mark OneDrive's 15th anniversary, the tech titan revealed new capabilities in a blog post on Tuesday. anniversary. As mentioned, the new landing experience, OneDrive Home will list the most relevant files of users with any activity updates. The Recent view will appear right on the redesigned OneDrive Home page and users would be able to filter and locate documents based on the file type— Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, and Word.

For accessing threaded comments, notes, @mentions, real-time coauthoring, and highlighting, Microsoft has also added an Activity column to the My Files view. The most recent, unseen alterations and changes to the shared documents will be shown.

Additionally, there is a new Quick access section where users may locate and bookmark their most-used spaces. This will show up on the OneDrive Home's left side.


Australian users of the OneDrive mobile app will also get a picture narrative feature. Users will be able to securely transfer photographs and movies between devices and share them with friends and family.

OneDrive Home may require some waiting since Microsoft says it will begin pushing it out in the upcoming months. Users of OneDrive for both work and education will have access to it. Later this year, according to Microsoft, the picture narrative feature will be made available in the US and other countries.
