The Apple mixed reality headset has received a lot of recent media attention. The most recent development suggests that Apple may be "working on staking claim to prospective names" for its mixed-reality headset based on purported trademark registrations by the corporation. The report asserts that a fictitious corporation that was formed in February is the registered owner of the mixed reality headset's trademarks. The product, which will compete with Meta in the field of virtual and augmented reality headsets, is anticipated to debut in early 2023.
According to Bloomberg, a fictitious company called Immersive Health Solutions LLC that was formed in February has been registered to receive trademark applications for the terms "Reality One," "Reality Pro," and "Reality Processor." The Corporation Trust Co., a Delaware shell corporation frequently utilised for filings by businesses attempting to evade detection, registered that entity, according to the study. According to reports, the same business also registered a trademark for RealityOS.
Like the iPhone 13 Pro, iPad Pro, and MacBook Pro, a high-end version of Apple's mixed reality headset may bear the "Pro" designation. The company's services, like the Apple One subscription, have the moniker "One." It's possible that the "Reality Processor" is a specific processor for the headset. The M2 CPU with 16GB of RAM may be used by the business for the mixed reality headgear, according to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg earlier this year.
According to the most recent reports, Apple's first headset, code-named N301, would reportedly be among the most powerful and pricey devices on the market. A later variant, internally referred to as the N602, and a set of augmented-reality glasses with the model number N421 are also mentioned. The "realityOS" operating system may also be used by Apple's mixed reality headset, according to an earlier report. The US Patents and Trademark Office had already recorded two trademarks for RealityOS (USPTO).
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggested earlier this year that Apple would release the mixed reality headset in January 2023. Kuo also believed that the corporation would delay the delivery of mixed reality headsets until Q2 2023 due to the delays brought on by lockdowns in Shanghai. According to rumours, Apple has also partnered with well-known Hollywood directors to create mixed reality content.
