The Android 13 update is coming to the Vivo X80 Pro and iQoo 9 Pro in India. Notably, only a small number of customers who were approved for the Android 13 Preview Program, which opened last week, can presently access this update. At the time, the businesses stated that they would only accept 500 users per device. Accordingly, only 1,000 people in total are currently qualified to get this update. The launch date for a larger roll-out of a stable Android 13 update has not been disclosed by Vivo or iQoo.
Users of the Vivo X80 Pro and iQoo 9 Pro in India who were accepted into the Android 13 Preview Program can now install the update, according to a Tuesday announcement from Vivo and its subsidiary brand iQoo. Simply navigate to Settings > System Update.
Additionally, owners of the Vivo X80 Pro must first update their phone to the most recent operating system version, which is 12.0.12.7 or higher. Users of iQoo 9 Pro must also have system version 12.0.5.8 or above installed before installing this upgrade. Both companies have acknowledged that this preview version may cause certain users' smartphones to perform less quickly.
The majority of Indian owners of the Vivo X80 Pro and iQoo 9 Pro who did not qualify for the Android 13 Preview Program will eventually receive the stable Android 13 upgrade via push notification.
Google has begun distributing Android 13 upgrades in India, which is related news. The Pixel 6a and Pixel 4a, which are officially sold in India, have reportedly begun receiving the Android 13 upgrade there, according to a recent report. Additionally, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro models are purportedly receiving the Android 13 software upgrade in India even though they are not officially available there.
