According to reports, the tablet-focused Android 12L operating system will soon be available for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 28 range, which comprises the normal Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+, and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. Notably, the first Samsung gadget to use this operating system was the recently released Galaxy Fold 4 smartphone. It has apparently begun to provide the new update for the Galaxy Tab S8 series in Europe and South Korea. Both the Wi-Fi only and 5G versions of these tablets are believed to support it.

The latest Android 12L is reportedly being made available for the Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+, and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra in Europe and South Korea. According to reports, the Android 12L versions X70xBXXU2AVH2, X80xBXXU2AVH5, and X90xBXXU2AVH2 will be installed on these Samsung tablet models, accordingly.

The August 2022 Android security patch is reportedly included in this update. The new taskbar function, according to the source, can make it simple for users to flip between programmes and launch them, as well as launch app pairs in split-screen mode without utilising DeX mode.

The ability to switch between full-screen and split-screen modes has also been added, and it requires a two-finger motion. The report claims that apps can also be opened in floating window mode. Users of the Galaxy Tab S8 will reportedly be able to extract text from photographs thanks to a feature included in the update. According to reports, at the moment this feature supports English, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish.

The report also states that smart actions, such as calling a number from a picture of a business card, will now appear next to the text. The My Files app and Samsung's browser are both rumoured to have undergone enhancements.
