Three smartphones from Sony are typically released each year: the Xperia 1, Xperia 10, and Xperia 5. The previous several months saw the announcement of the previous two models' fourth generation (IV). Since the latter handset appears to have been validated by the FCC, the company may finally release the new version now that the year is halfway over.
By Sumaho Digest, a future Sony smartphone has been discovered on the FCC (via NotebookCheck). This product is expected to debut as the Xperia 5 IV.
According to the description, the phone's display will have a diagonal measurement of 153.5mm, or around 6 inches. Additionally, a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack will be included.
Additionally, the device will enable FeliCa and provide WiFi 6 and NFC for the Japanese market. It will also, interestingly, support wireless charging. For those who are unaware, its predecessors could only charge by wire.
Sadly, that is the the information we currently have on the Sony Xperia 5 IV. It is unknown if the gadget will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip or not. Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC.
However, we may anticipate it to have a triple camera system, a 120Hz OLED display, IP68 water resistance, and dual stereo speakers. The phone might be revealed at the IFA trade event, which is slated to take place from September 2 to September 6.
