Since last July, there have been rumours that Xiaomi would introduce a 200 MP camera. One leaked image suggests that this is really going to happen.

An image on Phonandroid showed a camera island that closely resembles the Redmi K50 Ultra thanks to its square-shaped black protrusion that houses the primary camera. The shot, according to the source, is of a phone known as the Xiaomi 12T Pro, and the setup has "200 MP" written on it.

We are fairly convinced that the Redmi K50 Ultra will be reissued as a 12T Pro because Xiaomi frequently relaunches its Redmi products on the international market under alternative names. We anticipate a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip if the firm decides to replace the camera but maintain the other specifications.

The Redmi K50 Ultra model number is 22081212C, whereas the supposed 12T Pro's model number is 22081212UG. This distinction in the last letter indicates whether the device is intended for the Chinese or global markets.

After the Moto X30 Pro, which was unveiled earlier this month, if the reports are accurate, this will be the second phone sporting a Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor.
