The wait is over now. Realme has finally announced on its community forum that the company has officially rolled out the stable Realme UI 3.0 OS update based on Android 12 to its Realme 8 Pro, Realme 7 Pro, and Realme C25s users after several months of operating on the Open Beta programme announced back in February of this year!

Users must be on the most recent firmware version of Realme UI 2.0 in order to be eligible for the Realme UI 3.0 stable upgrade rollout, which will be distributed to users in batches. It will be RMX3081 11.A.47 / RMX3081 11.A.48 for Realme 8 Pro users, RMX2170 11.C.30 / RMX2170 11.C.32 for Realme 7 Pro users, and RMX3197 11.A.19 / RMX3197 11.A.20 for Realme C25s users.

If you do decide to upgrade to Android 12, Realme lists a few frequent problems that users reported after the upgrade:

When starting up for the first time, it could take longer, especially if your phone has a lot of third-party applications installed.

The system will carry out a number of operations such application adaptation, background optimization, and security scanning in order to increase system operating efficiency and remove potential safety issues. These operations could result in small hanging and increased power consumption.

However, when a week has passed and your phone has gotten used to the new system, these software troubles usually go away.

The Realme 7 Pro, which debuted on September 14, 2020, or over 2 years ago, is the oldest of the three devices in our comparison. It came pre-installed with Realme UI 1.0 based on Android 10 at launch. And given that the smartphone has already gotten two major Android OS updates throughout its lifetime, the Android 12 version is anticipated to be the last one. The phone has a mid-range Snapdragon 720G processor, the first AMOLED display on a Realme number series device, compatibility for 65W SuperDart rapid wired charging, and more, making it one of the most competitive mid-range phones on the market at the time.

Realme UI 2.0, based on Android 11, was released alongside the Realme 8 Pro and Realme C25s in 2021. The Realme 8 Pro arrived with a Helio G85 SoC and a 6000mAh battery whereas the Realme C25s has a Snapdragon 720G chipset, a 108MP main camera, and 50W rapid wired charging.
