The Nothing Phone (1) was finally unveiled in a number of markets after several weeks of marketing designed to generate excitement. The first update for the handset has now been formally released by the firm and is meant to improve user experience. Let's have a look, then.

The relatively new company has just delivered the first-ever over-the-air (OTA) update for its Phone (1), which is only 94MB in size. This upgrade is currently being delivered in other locations as well, having already been pushed out in India. According to the changelog, the business has released a new version that enhances the Glyph LED lighting interface, updates the operating system's sound effects, and even improves the new smartphone's battery life.

A significant addition to this version is the addition of HDR10+ capability, along with portrait mode, HDR mode, and other features for the camera app. The changelog also notes enhancements to the camera user interface, fingerprint recording and unlocking, and other areas. The latest update also includes various bug fixes to enhance the user experience.

You can manually check to see if your device has already received the upgrades if you are a Nothing Phone (1) user who has not yet received the update message. System updates can be found under Settings > System. Currently, the initial OTA update doesn't make many changes, but additional software updates are likely to appear in the coming weeks.
