The ROG Phone 6 series will go on sale globally on July 5th, according to Asus. ROG Phone 6, ROG Phone 6 Pro, and ROG Phone 6 Ultimate are the three variations of the future series, just like the ROG Phone 5 series.

As of now, teasers and leaks have made the smartphone's design and nearly all of its specifications public. So, this is what we can anticipate from the debut on July 5.

Concept and display

The ROG Phone 6 series is anticipated to look very similar to the gadgets from the previous year. However, some small alterations to the back panel have been seen in leaked renders. First, it seems as though the smartphone has a larger camera module with three lenses and an LED flash. A second vertically positioned screen is also added to the back panel.

The power button, a volume rocker, and AirTriggers are all located on the smartphone's right side. The devices' left side is probably where the SIM-trey and USB-C charging port will be located. The gadgets are anticipated to include a second USB-C connector for charging, although it is unknown if they will also include a 3.5mm audio jack.

The ROG Phone 6 has an in-display fingerprint scanner for security and a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display on the front. It also has a 165Hz refresh rate. The renders of the vanilla model also show a prominent chin and forehead, as well as thin side bezels.

Specs

The newest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset is confirmed to be present in the smartphones' internal components. Recent Geekbench listings have shown that the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Ultimate offer nearly comparable performance; hence, the main differences between the base model, the Pro variant, and the ultimate model are probably the RAM and storage options, as well as a few more sensors.

The Ultimate model will include 18GB of RAM, while the Base variant is anticipated to offer up to 16GB. Additionally, the gadgets will come with built-in storage of up to 512 GB. The devices will come with a 6,000mAh dual-cell battery that supports 65W fast charging and run ROG UI, which is based on Android 12. Finally, among gaming smartphones, the ROG Phone 6 series will be the first to provide IPX4 splash resistance.

Camera

A 64MP main camera, an ultra-wide camera, and a macro sensor will be included in the triple camera configuration on the back of the vanilla model. We'll probably get a 12MP selfie camera on the front. All of the lineup is anticipated to have the same camera configuration.

Accessories

A gamepad made exclusively for the ROG Phone 6 series as well as the new snap-on cooler have recently surfaced in a few leaks.

The device will become a handheld console similar to the Nintendo Wii when the gamepad is attached to both ends of it. With Bluetooth connectivity, it may also serve as a proper controller for the phone and other devices.

The AeroActive Cooler 6 will probably be the name of the snap-on cooler. By enhancing the back panel's capacity to dissipate heat, it is intended to aid in lowering the smartphone's operating temperature during extended gaming sessions.
