On July 12, Nothing will introduce its first smartphone, known as the Nothing Phone (1). Customers can put pre-orders for the smartphone on Flipkart before it becomes available on the same date in India.
The company has teased a number of the Phone (1)'s features in advance of its release, including its 120Hz refresh rate, in-display fingerprint sensor, and Snapdragon 778+ SoC. Now that the company and well-known Indian YouTuber Technical Guruji have teamed, we can see the phone's packaging for the first time.
The reports that the Nothing Phone (1) packaging will not include a charger have been proven by the video. The movie also demonstrates that the Phone (1)'s frame is built of recycled aluminium and its body is composed of recycled plastic.
In keeping with the company's commitment to a sustainable future, the video also claims that the device's packaging box is created entirely of recycled materials and contains no plastic.
It appears that Noting has followed the lead of companies like Apple and Samsung, which don't include a charger with their high-end, mid-range, and flagship devices and instead give environmental justifications. The brands typically claim that their customers don't need another charger because they already own one from them. However, Nothing cannot make this claim because it is a new player in the smartphone market. The Phone (1) is listed as supporting 33W fast charging on certification sites, while the charger for the smartphone supports up to 45W fast charging.
This action is most likely a cost-cutting tactic since the brand is known to have aggressively priced its first smartphone. It will be fascinating to see if and how much the brand decides to charge the charger separately. Follow us for more.
