Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri revealed new capabilities coming to Instagram creators with paid Subscribers in a Twitter update. In the Subscribers programme, Instagram creators can charge their followers a monthly fee to access exclusive content on the Instagram app.
According to Mosseri in the video that was shared on Twitter, subscribers will be able to organise private conversations where they may communicate with fans. A subscription chat can have up to 30 participants.
This is simply the first stage in a much longer process to give creators all across the world a wide range of tools so they may support themselves online.
Direct posting of reels and posts to subscribers is now possible, and these posts will display the Subscriber badge as well. Creators who have Subscriber content now have a "Subscriber home" option on their profiles so that their fans may view exclusives or sign up to become a Subscriber.
Instagram debuted Subscriptions in January with capabilities for Live video and Stories that are only visible to paying followers. Additionally, subscribers who respond to posts are acknowledged by a badge next to their name.
