The South Korean company's foldable smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, which was introduced a few years ago, has at last received an upgrade in the US that made a long-awaited feature available.

The business has launched a fresh upgrade for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 smartphone in the US that makes eSIM capability possible. Additionally, it adds support for DSDS, often known as Dual SIM Dual Standby.

According to the source, Samsung has released software build F916USQU2HVF1 for the Galaxy Z Fold 2's carrier-locked model, while the upgrade for the unlocked model, which adds both new features, is F916U1UEU2HVF4.

The June update also includes some new camera capabilities, like auto framing in the camera app, video calls, and enhanced Night portrait shooting, in addition to the eSIM capability and DSDS support.

It's possible that some users of the carrier-locked model won't receive the June upgrade and instead receive the new July update, which will add these new capabilities to the phone. Some users of the carrier-locked model have already begun receiving the July 2022 update.
