Samsung hasn't updated its low-cost Galaxy Tab A range in a time. A new Tab A7 model for 2022 is reportedly just around the corner, according to a recent leak. The leak provides an insight into the tablet's pretty uninteresting design. From the front and rear, it genuinely resembles the 2020 Galaxy Tab A7 10.4 model in every way.

Since the new Tab A7 (2022) is expected to include a 10.4-inch, 1200 x 2000-pixel LCD display, a single 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera, as well as a 7,040 mAh battery, Samsung may actually be reusing some of the parts and possibly even the device housing. These specifications are all being maintained.

The chipset in the new model is one thing that is purportedly altering. The UNISOC T618, a 12nm part manufactured on a TSMC FinFET process, is rumoured to be included in the tablet of 2022. It has a Mali G52MP2 GPU, two ARM Cortex-A75 cores clocked at up to 2.0 GHz, six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2.0 GHz, and optional LTE connectivity. It takes the place of the Snapdragon 662 in the Tab A7 2020 model, which, depending on your perspective, can be considered a degradation. According to reports, the new Tab A7 (2022) has 32GB of storage and 3GB of RAM.

Positively, the new Galaxy Tab A7 (2022) may go on sale for less money than the one it replaces.
