The Oppo A97 that made its public debut last week is now real. It runs ColorOS 12 out of the box and is powered by the Dimensity 810 SoC. The A97 has 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage as standard, but you can practically increase the RAM to 19GB by leveraging the smartphone's internal storage.
The Oppo A97 features a notch-equipped 6.6" FullHD+ 90Hz LCD with a 12MP selfie camera. A 48MP primary camera and a 2MP depth camera are located on the back. A 5,000 mAh battery with 33W charging support powers the entire unit.
The Oppo A97's other standout features include USB-C, a 3.5mm headphone port, and 5G connection. Additionally, it has Dirac-tuned stereo speakers and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
The Oppo A97 costs CNY2,099 ($312/€311) in China and is available in blue and black colours. One may be pre-ordered through JD.com or Oppo's own Chinese website; the latter is selling them for, for some reason, CNY2,299 ($341/€340). Though there is no information on availability in other areas, shipping will start on July 15.
