On July 4 in China, Xiaomi is prepared to remove the covers from the Xiaomi 12S, 12S Pro, and 12S Ultra. The 12S Pro is rumoured to come with two CPU options that are powered by the Snapdragon and Dimensity chipsets. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor will be installed in the 12S Pro, according to information provided so far by the company. Lei Jun, the founder and CEO of Xiaomi, seems to have hinted at the device's Dimensity edition. A few of the most crucial characteristics of the Xiaomi 12S Pro have also been confirmed by Xiaomi.
Lei Jun can be seen discussing the Dimensity 9000+, which was unveiled last month, in the image above (June). The Xiaomi phone with the model number 2206122SC is anticipated to make its debut as the Xiaomi 12S Pro's Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 version. The Dimensity edition of the 12S Pro by Xiaomi could be another device with the model number 2207122MC.
It can be assumed based on Jun's Weibo post that it could be powered by the Dimensity 9000+ SoC even though there hasn't been any official confirmation as of yet. Through tomorrow's launch event, the Chinese manufacturer might directly confirm the Dimensity variant.
The main characteristics of the Xiaomi 12S Pro have been confirmed in a few Weibo posts published by Xiaomi. The device will feature a 6.73-inch AMOLED LTPO panel with 2K resolution, a 1Hz-120Hz refresh rate, 522ppi pixel density, and 1,500 nits of brightness, the company has confirmed.
The 120W fast charging technology will work with the flagship phone, and it will take about 19 minutes to fully charge. Additionally, it will support 10W reverse wireless charging and 50W wireless charging. A 50-megapixel Sony IMX707 main camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens with a field of view of 115 degrees, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera are all featured on the back of the phone.
