The company's cheapest TWS buds to yet are the first Nord-branded headphones, which are now available. Their MSRP is 3,000 but is being reduced to 2,800 ($37/€35) during the launch. The OnePlus Buds Z were once the least expensive at 3,200 (discounted to 3,000), but they are currently sold out.
The 12.4 mm drivers of the OnePlus Nord Buds enable Dolby Atmos. You can adjust the sound using a variety of Sound Master EQ settings (including a custom one) from the companion app.
The buds are durable; they can play music continuously for 7 hours on their own, and the carrying case increases the listening period to 30 hours. A 10 minute top-up amounts to 5 hours of playback; OnePlus is known for its love of quick charging.
The headphones offer a Pro Gamer mode that reduces the latency to 94 ms and uses Bluetooth 5.2. Only SBC and AAC are supported for audio codecs, though, which is a limitation. The good news is that they also offer quick pairing with OnePlus phones and other Android phones (using the HeyMelody app). Although there is no ANC, each bud has two microphones that are used to produce clear sound during calls.
Both White Marble and Black Slate are available in the Nord Buds. Each bud weighs 4.82g, has a battery capacity of 41 mAh, and is IP55-rated so you may use them in wet conditions and while exercising. The carrying case supports USB-C charging and features a 480 mAh battery.
Pre-orders for the OnePlus Nord Buds in India start at 2,800 ($37/€35), and open sales begin in 12 days. A global rollout hasn't been mentioned yet.
