Google teased the Pixel 7 series during the I/O 2022 event earlier this year. The business has highlighted some of the new flagship lineup's design cues and announced the fall debut date. But just now, we're getting a better look at a prototype Pixel 7 Pro.

Unexpectedly, a buyer who wanted to acquire a Pixel 6 Pro placed an order on the Facebook marketplace. But instead of receiving the current-generation flagship, he received the Pixel 7 Pro prototype. After that, his friend announced the news on Twitter. The original purchaser might have obtained an unexpected update despite having to wait two months for the Pixel 6 Pro.

It's interesting to note that the prototype case for the future Pixel flagship model was delivered together with the device. To show off the whole design of the rear panel, the user also shared photographs of the gadget sans the cover. Also discovered running on Android 13 OS (Tiramisu) was the unannounced gadget. The friend of the original purchaser speculates that the seller may have been an OEM supplier of cellphones from the Pixel 7 series.

The story seems too handy to be real as of right now. The Android 13 update was removed from the device, however Google did issue a remote wipe instruction that caused the device to become stuck in the bootloader. The Pixel 7 Pro is the company's upcoming flagship model, so keep checking back since we'll be covering any new rumours or leaks about it.
