Redmi and Poco adore playing the rebranding game, and it seems unlikely that this will change anytime soon. Poco may indeed be preparing to rebrand yet another gadget, in this case the Redmi Note 10S, which debuted under that name back in 2021.
It's a little late to rebrand a phone more than a year after it initially appeared, but some recently leaked FCC records indicate that's exactly what will happen. Given that the two phones are nearly identical with just a few small differences, Poco has requested an FCC certification based on the one previously granted for the Redmi Note 10S.
The Redmi Note 10S (with the model number M2101K7BNY) ran MIUI 12 when it was certified, as seen in the screenshot above, however the next Poco variant will launch with MIUI 13 on board — understandable, a year later. Additionally, the Poco phone will have two new RAM/storage configurations that haven't been seen on the Redmi: 4/64GB and 4/128GB. The Poco phone will share one RAM/storage version with its sister (6/128GB). A new blue variant will also be offered.
The MediaTek Helio G95 SoC, a 6.43-inch 1080x2400 60 Hz AMOLED screen, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging capability are all features of the Redmi Note 10S.
All of those functions ought to be included in the future Poco, which, based on the hardware in this case, we presume will belong to either the C or M family of Poco devices. Now that the FCC certification is complete, the official launch is presumably not far away.
