Honor updated the MagicBook 14 series earlier this year with the most modern, cutting-edge Intel 12th-Gen chipsets. The Chinese IT giant has hinted that the MagicBook 14 AMD Ryzen Edition series will be updated in 2022 to the newest Ryzen 6000 series platform.
Honor has officially confirmed that the Honor MagicBook 14 Ryzen Edition, which uses OS Turbo technology to achieve exceptional performance and a long battery life, will be released at the Honor All-Scenario Conference on July 21 at 19:30 Chinese Time.
The AMD Ryzen 5000 series processor powers the version from this year. AMD unveiled its Ryzen 5000 Mobile processors (CPU) at CES 2021, adding potent mobile chips to its assortment of potent desktop CPUs. These were a huge hit, and AMD followed up a year later at CES 2022 with the Ryzen 6000 Mobile CPUs in an effort to capitalise on the success of Ryzen 5000.
Like the Ryzen 4000 Mobile CPUs before them, the Ryzen 5000 Mobile and Ryzen 6000 Mobile processors come in H-series and U-series variations.
The AMD Ryzen 6000 processors' base is the new AMD Zen 3+ core, which is intended to deliver more performance per watt. The CPUs include clock rates up to 5GHz, 1.3x faster processing speeds, and up to 2.1x faster graphics than the 5000 series.
It's possible that the AMD MagicBook 14 will use Ryzen 6600U and 6800U processors. The laptop is 15.9mm thick, all metal, and comes in glacier silver and star grey finishes.
The Ryzen 6000 CPUs feature up to eight cores and 16 threads of processing power, allowing them to accomplish many tasks concurrently on each thread. According to AMD, the CPUs are capable of up to 11 percent better single-threaded performance and up to 28 percent faster multithreaded performance when compared to the 5000 series cards. A covert Nvidia Geforce GTX 2050 graphics card is included in the 2022 MagicBook 14 Ryzen Edition.
This is also the first ultra-compact laptop to have Honor OS Turbo.
