We've been covering rumours and stories about the Xiaomi 12 Ultra for the past several days. Thanks to a protective case listing, the company's top end flagship has now been noticed on an official site.
The new protective coverings were found on the Xiaomi Youpin site, according to an ITHome article, along with the intended model. In other words, the new covers were designed for Huawei's forthcoming 12 Ultra smartphone, which will be part of the company's flagship 12 series. This is further corroborated by the cuts seen on the rear of the cover.
We previously reported on renderings of the 12 Ultra, which showed the smartphone having a huge circular camera module on the back. To match the design, the cover also features a similar cutout. On the back, there are five image sensors that can be seen plainly.
According to what we know so far, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will include a 50 megapixel main sensor on the back, as well as two 48 megapixel sensors for the ultra wide angle lens and the periscopic telephoto lens. The remainder of the details are yet unknown, although Leica is likely to manufacture the lenses as part of the new relationship. That's all the information we have for now; stay tuned for further details.
