Which manufacturer will introduce the first smartphone running Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1? Given that ASUS has already said that the ROG Phone 6 series would debut on July 5, it seems possible that it will prevail in this conflict. Two ROG Phone 6 series handsets with the model codes AI2201 A and AI2201 B have just received approval from China's 3C regulator. Now that the AI2201 B has achieved TENAA certification, its specs are known. It is not yet known if it will launch as the ROG Phone 6 or ROG Phone 6 Pro.
Specifications of the ASUS ROG Phone 6
The ROG Phone 6 (AI2201 B) weighs about 229 grammes and has a thickness of 10.39mm. It will have a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with 165Hz refresh rate capability.
The ROG Phone 6 will be powered by the 3.2GHz Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU. The computer will include 256 GB of internal storage and 18 GB of RAM. A 2,925mAh (rated value) dual-cell battery will power it. Its battery might have a 6,000mAh capacity overall. The gadget may enable 65W rapid charging, according to the 3C certification.
A 12-megapixel camera will be mounted on the front of the ROG Phone 6. A 64-megapixel main camera will be present in its triple rear-facing cameras. A built-in fingerprint scanner is another characteristic of the gadget. There are no pictures of the phone in the TENAA listing. According to rumours, the ROG Phone 6 will sport an updated back design.
On July 5, the ROG Phone 6 will be unveiled in China, Taiwan, and the US, although it might not go on sale right away. The Xiaomi 12 Ultra's release date has not yet been determined. However, it is possible that the 12 Ultra may be on sale in China before the ROG Phone 6 collection.
