Vivo was believed to be launching three flagship smartphones earlier this year, named the Vivo X80, X80 Pro, and X80 Pro Plus. However, the Vivo X80 and Vivo X80 Pro were only available in Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Dimensity 9000 models at launch.

Yogesh Brar, a reputable tipster, has now verified the existence of the Vivo X80 Pro Plus, claiming that the smartphone would be released shortly (Via MySmartPrice). According to Brar's intel, the X80 Pro Plus will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. This chipset will be a significant upgrade over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in the X80 Pro, as it is produced by TSMC on their 4nm node and has a 30% higher energy efficiency than its predecessor. In addition, the processor will operate cooler than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which has a number of thermal management difficulties.

Aside from that, the tipster claims that the gadget will be released in October 2022, although this has yet to be confirmed owing to the global supply chain crisis. The smartphone's exact specifications are still unknown, but based on earlier claims, we may anticipate it to have a 6.8-inch 2K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will almost certainly support 120W rapid charging.

A quad-camera combination consisting of a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 48-megapixel Sony IMX598 sensor, a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 sensor, and a 50-megapixel Samsung JN2 sensor might be used for optics. The gadget is said to have Zeiss optics and camera calibration, as well as gimbal-style stabilisation.
