The next-generation foldable smartphone is about to be released, but Samsung is also working on the upcoming Galaxy S-series flagship phones, the details of which have repeatedly leaked online.
Now, if the most recent rumour is accurate, the telephoto camera sensor on the camera module of the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus won't be upgraded.
The 10-megapixel telephoto sensor used in the Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus smartphones will reportedly remain the same in the Samsung Galaxy S23 series. What it will be for the Galaxy S23 Ultra is not yet known.
We'll have to wait and see if the same camera sensor only applies to the telephoto lens or if the same applies to the entire back camera system. The S23 series launch is still months away, so even if the information we currently have is accurate for the time being, it could change.
The front-facing cameras on the Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus are anticipated to be upgraded. The flagship smartphones this time around will have a 12-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
Although the precise launch date for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S-series smartphones has not been disclosed, based on the company's past performance, the devices may be unveiled in January or February.
