TCL Huaxing, a Chinese company, has announced the release of two new curved screen technologies: waterfall screen hyperbolic technology and equal-gauss four-curved surface technology.

The OLED panel bends the screen in the Waterfall Screen Hyperbolic Technology, which uses a curved screen with a certain curvature. To create a waterfall-like curve, it is raised to nearly 90 degrees. It is believed to visually obscure the phone's central frame, and horizontal information will no longer be restricted in its display.

The screen's bilateral curvature may exceed 88 degrees, according to the manufacturer. In addition, unlike traditional 60-degree hyperbolic screens, this one's side curvature may reach over 90 degrees.

The four-curved technology, on the other hand, is based on hyperboloid technology, which adds curved glass at the top and lower ends depending on the curvature of the hyperboloid screen's left and right screens.

It has a more attractive look, a greater visual impression, and a better hand sensation. The radian's curved form makes it easier to grip and improves the experience of horizontal cross-screen use on large screens.

The business foregoes the standard four-curved surface design with huge rounded corners in favour of a four-corner spherical design that achieves the same width of the front view frame while reducing the corner radius from 10mm to 5mm.

In March of this year, TCL Huaxing completed the technological development of the 88-degree waterfall screen. Further expanded verification of materials and processes was carried out using modelling and experimentation to establish the industry's first WQHD LTPO, 88-degree waterfall screen mass production capacity.
