Samsung has begun to integrate Samsung Pass into Samsung Pay, the company stated today. Users' digital passes, cards, and smart locks will be immediately migrated from Pass to Pay in South Korea, where the fusion will commence. Other localities are anticipated to follow suit in the near future.

Samsung Pay, the Korean manufacturer's in-house payment system, allows you to store credit cards, debit cards, and select membership cards. The Samsung Pay app will be updated for everyone in South Korea who has a Samsung smartphone running Android 9 or above.

A Digital Key for a smart lock that works with the SmartThings ecosystem is also a touch away, and finding trip tickets has never been easier. Some travel and movie tickets, such as Korean Air and Megabox, will be supported via the new mega app.

According to Jini Han, VP of Samsung's MX Division's Digital Life Team, the rationale for the merging is to provide a "more convenient experience."
