Foldable smartphones are gaining popularity by the day, as all major smartphone manufacturers either have a foldable smartphone on the market or are developing one.
From its first-generation Galaxy Z series devices to the current Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3, Samsung has seen massive sales growth in the foldable segment. However, these devices must be perfected and polished before they can reach their full potential.
In related news, key specifications for the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 have been leaked in a recent report. The Fold 4 will have a 7.6-inch QXGA+ AMOLED panel on the inside, and a 6.2-inch HD+ AMOLED panel on the outside, according to the report. The refresh rate will be 120Hz for both the outer and inner displays.
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset will be paired with 12/16GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB of storage under the hood of the device. It will come with a 4,400mAh battery and support for 25W fast charging. The device will have a rear camera setup of 50MP + 12MP (Ultrawide) + 12MP (3x) for optics. A 16MP under-display camera and a 16MP front-facing camera will be housed within the inner display.
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is expected to have a 6.7-inch FHD+ sAMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate (2.1-inch outer display). The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset will be found inside, along with 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage. The smartphone will have a 12MP + 12MP (ultra-wide) camera setup on the back, with a 10MP resolution on the inner camera. It will have a 3,700mAh battery with wired and wireless charging capabilities of 25W and 10W, respectively.
On August 10th, both the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Flip 4 are expected to be released.
