Preliminary information about the Redmi Note 12 series was leaked well before the launch

 Redmi launched the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G, and Redmi Note 11 5G in China in October 2021. The Redmi Note 12 series appears to be on its way to the home market in October 2022. Popular tipster Digital Chat Station has reportedly (via) shared key details of the Note 12 lineup ahead of the expected launch.

An upcoming mid-range phone/series has been leaked by the tipster. While he hasn't said what series he's referring to, it appears that he's referring to the Redmi Note 12 lineup.

According to the source, the rumoured Note 12 series will provide a balanced experience. He discovered that the early prototype of the device had a flat screen and a camera punch-hole in the top centre, which he was able to see. While he hasn't specified the screen's size, he has stated that it will support a high refresh rate.

Moving to the back, the rumoured Note 12 lineup will feature a triple camera system with a 50-megapixel camera at the centre. He also mentioned that the lens arrangement hasn't changed, implying that the camera unit or camera configurations aren't too different from the previous model. He wrapped up the leak by revealing that the camera module has a horizontal LED flash. Unfortunately, the leak did not reveal any details about the lineup's major specifications.

Given that Redmi recently launched the Redmi Note 11T Pro, Note 11T Pro+, and Note 11 SE smartphones in China, the Redmi Note 12 series is unlikely to be released.
