Pre-orders for the Huawei Matebook 16s are now open in China.

The Huawei Matebook 16s, Huawei's latest 2022 flagship ultrabook laptop, was released in China on May 23rd. Those interested in purchasing Huawei's latest ultrabook may now be among the first to do so, as pre-orders for the Huawei Matebook 16s have officially started in China!

Pre-orders are available throughout the country until June 18th, in connection with Huawei's participation in the 6.18 national online shopping sale.

Three Intel 12th Gen Alder Lake CPU variants are available for the Huawei Matebook 16s. The following is the cost for each configuration during the pre-order promotion:

• 6799 RMB for Core i5-12500H + 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD (1021 USD)

• 7799 RMB for Core i7-12700H + 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD (1171 USD)

• 8799 RMB for Core i9-12900H + 16GB RAM + 1TB SSD (1321 USD)

Because the Huawei Matebook 16s doesn't have a dedicated GPU option, all CPU versions rely on Intel's Iris Xe Integrated Graphics to provide GPU performance.

The Huawei Matebook 16s has a 16-inch touchscreen IPS LCD display with a 2520 x 1680 pixel resolution, a 3:2 aspect ratio, 300 nits of brightness, 1500:1 contrast ratio, and compatibility for 100 percent sRGB colour gamut, as the name suggests.

Unfortunately, the Huawei Matebook 16s' RAM is soldered 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM, which means you won't be able to change the RAM in the future. The laptop's SSD is an NVME PCIe SSD with no generation information given by Huawei.

The gadget is made of lightweight aluminium and is an ultrabook. For biometric security, it has a fingerprint sensor on the power button. The Huawei Matebook 16s is one of Huawei's flagship models, with an enhanced 1080p wide-angle front-facing webcam for video chats, four microphones to ensure clear call quality on the laptop, and front-facing dual stereo speakers for richer multimedia music.

An 84Wh battery powers the laptop, which can be charged at up to 135W through USB-C. Two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one full-function USB-C port, one Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port, one HDMI 2.0 connector, and one 3.5mm headphone jack are available on the Huawei Matebook 16s. The laptop comes with the most recent version of Windows 11 out of the box.
