Poco India has teased the global launch of the Poco F4 5G in the nation. The gadget was released in its entirety yesterday, showing practically everything about it. The processor that will power this future smartphone was formally announced by the company today.

According to Poco India's official Twitter account, the upcoming Poco F4 5G will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. This chip is dubbed the "best optimised CPU" by the manufacturer, and it's not incorrect.

Last year's Poco F3 5G, also known as Mi 11X 5G in India and Redmi K40 in China, used the same SoC. Other prominent flagship killer smartphones powered on the chipset include the iQOO Neo 6 (India), iQOO 7 (India), Realme GT Neo 3T, and Realme GT Neo 2.

Apart from the SoC, we now know more about the Poco F4 5G thanks to a leak. The phone is simply a repackaged Redmi K40S.

As a result, the Poco F4 5G will include a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and compatibility for Dolby Vision. LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage will be used with the processor.

The phone will run MIUI 13 on top of Android 12 and be powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging capabilities. It will have two stereo speakers, a fingerprint sensor on the side, and an IR blaster.

Last but not least, the Poco F4 5G will include a 64MP OIS-assisted primary camera rather than the Redmi K40S's OIS-assisted 48MP main camera. In any case, it'll include the same 8MP ultra-wide sensor, 2MP macro sensor, and 20MP front-facing camera.
