According to a previous leak, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 will have a minor battery capacity upgrade. Now that the actual batteries have been photographed, it appears that the upgrade will be more extensive than anticipated.

Samsung SDI manufactures both of the batteries. One has a capacity of 2,555mAh, while the other has a capacity of 1,040mAh. This brings the total capacity to 3,595mAh, but the typical capacity will most likely be 3,700mAh. That's a 400mAh boost over the Z Flip3 battery, or a 13% increase in capacity.

That's not a lot, but it's not insignificant either, given that 3D renders show the phone to be roughly the same size (though slightly thicker – 7.2mm, up from 6.9mm). Also, the battery capacity is the same as the Galaxy S22.

According to rumours, the Galaxy Z Flip4 will get another battery upgrade, with the charging speed being increased to 25W. (from 15W on the Z Flip3). This, too, corresponds to the S22.

The larger cover display and redesigned hinge were seen in live photos of the new Flip earlier today. The Galaxy Z Flip4 and Z Fold4 are set to be unveiled in early August, but Samsung has already begun mass production, resulting in these leaks.
