Oppo released the ColorOS 12 beta update for the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom and Oppo Reno Ace in May. The business announced earlier this month that the stable release would arrive on June 28. The firm started distributing the stable update yesterday as promised.
The ColorOS 12 stable update based on Android 12 for Oppo Reno 10x Zoom is currently accessible in China and India, according to the official announcement posts on Oppo Community. The Oppo Reno Ace, however, only receives the same update in China because it was never released outside of China.
It is important to note that the update is also available for these phones' special editions, including the Oppo Reno FC Barcelona Edition (a Reno 10x Zoom that has been customised) and the Oppo Reno Ace Gundam Edition.
The OTA software update is being distributed in batches as usual. Thus, it will take some time for it to reach every unit. However, in the upcoming days, all users—including those in other areas—should have access to the update.
The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom and Oppo Reno Ace launched with ColorOS 6, which is based on Android 9.0 Pie. As a result, ColorOS 12—based on Android 12—is both their third and final significant software update. These three Android updates are the first ones to reach an Oppo smartphone.
