On iOS, the Google TV app is now available for download. In the App Store, the new app will replace the Google Play Movies and TV app. Users of Google TV on Android TV or Chromecast may use the Google TV app as a remote control for their devices by tapping the remote icon. The Google TV app will also keep track of your Google rentals and purchases. Google began eliminating the Movies & TV option from its Play Store app on Android smartphones at the end of May, according to reports.


The Google TV app, which was previously only accessible on Android, is now available on Apple's iOS platform. Users will be able to score previously seen material in order to enhance future suggestions through the app. Users with Android TV or Chromecast with Google TV may now utilise the Google TV app as a remote control for their devices by hitting the remote icon, as previously described. The Play Movies & TV app for iOS will automatically upgrade to the new Google TV app. The Google TV app will also have the user's Google rental and buy library.


Google began eliminating the Movies & TV option from its Play Store app on Android smartphones at the end of May, according to reports. Google has already stated that its 'Movies and TV' section would be removed from Android devices in March. The Play Store app for Android will no longer allow users to browse, search, buy, or rent television series and movies. Purchases and rentals will instead be available on Google TV, where customers will be able to view their library alongside the freshly revamped 'Highlights' news stream.


Apart from that, Google is said to have banned many applications from the Play Store last month after discovering that they were collecting personal data such as location, phone numbers, and email addresses from users.
