Nokia used to create excellent phones, but that is no longer the case. Nonetheless, the organisation is still doing everything it can to stay afloat. In reality, owing to its "Make premium-looking inexpensive phones" philosophy, it has seen substantial growth in recent years. Now it looks that the Finnish smartphone manufacturer will return in 2022 with the same strategy. According to a source, Nokia Mobile will release a slew of Nokia X and G series 5G smartphones in 2022, all of which will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 480 Plus chipset.

Nokia Mobile is expected to release new Nokia X and G series 5G smartphones in the second half of this year, according to Nokiapoweruser, citing sources.

The next X-series smartphones are yet to be given a name. The smartphones may, however, offer a 120 Hz refresh rate. According to the source, even expensive G-series smartphones might have a 120 Hz display.

The Nokia XR21, Nokia X21, and Nokia X11 are believed to be part of the next smartphone series.

As previously stated, the devices are expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 480 Plus 5G chipset, which is an update of the Snapdragon 480 that was released in 2021. The "Plus" SoC, on the other hand, does not have much to offer aside from 200 MHz faster A76 cores and Bluetooth 5.2 vs. 5.1 capabilities. As long as the costs are comparable, the processor won't be an issue.

In related news, after iTel, Nokia was the second most popular feature phone provider in Q1 2022. In Q1 2022, the Nokia 105 became the most popular feature phone. North America had an 87 percent gain in income, while Western Europe saw a respectable 37 percent increase year over year.
