 Apple conducted its annual WWDC event yesterday, where it announced iOS and MacOS upgrades as well as beta programmes for developers to begin testing new features. Some of the improvements coming with iOS 16 have previously been covered in a separate piece, but one that Apple didn't disclose was that the next OS version will have native support for Nintendo Switch Joy Cons and Nintendo's Pro Controller.


Joy Cons are docked controllers for the Nintendo Switch portable system that may be used as a single controller (one in each hand) or as a single controller with rudimentary controls. iOS 16 supports one or two Joysticks, according to app creator @Rileytestut.iOS 16 supports one or two Joy Cons over Bluetooth, according to app creator @Rileytestut.


By pressing and holding the Capture and Home buttons on either Joy Con, Apple Engineer Nat Brown confirms that you can link two Joy Con controllers and choose between utilising both or just one.

Given that iOS 16 is still in the developer beta stage, there will undoubtedly be glitches. Similarly, when switching between single and combined Joy Cons, some users have encountered issues.
