Lenovo has announced the Legion R7000P and R9000P 2022 gaming laptops, which feature a Ryzen 6000 processor and a 165Hz display

 In its home market of China, Lenovo has just released two new gaming laptops. The new Legion R7000P 2022 and Legion R9000P 2022 notebooks are powered by AMD's Ryzen 6000 series processors.


R7000P 2022 Legion

To begin with, the Legion R7000P 2022 model has been released in China and comes equipped with an AMD Ryzen 5 6600H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card. The cost of this variant is 7,599 Yuan (roughly $1,130). Users can upgrade to a model with a more powerful GeForce RTX 3050 Ti for 7,899 Yuan (roughly $1,173). The gaming laptop is also available with an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H processor and an RTX 3050 or RTX 3050 Ti graphics card, with the former costing 7,999 Yuan (roughly $1,189) and the latter costing 8,299 Yuan (roughly $1,233).



This laptop has a 15.6-inch 2.5K display with a 165Hz refresh rate and sRGB colour gamut of 100 percent. Dolby Vision and DC Dimming are also supported by the display. It also has up to 16GB of 4800MHz RAM and 512GB of SSD storage under the hood. With the new gaming laptops, the Chinese PC maker has also put a focus on cooling, with the proprietary Frost Blade Cooling System 4.0 for thermal management. An 80Whr battery, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth, three USB Type C, three USB 3.2 Gen 1, a 3.5mm audio connector, an HDMI 2.1 port, and an Ethernet port are among the other features.


R9000P 2022 Legion

The Legion R9000P 2022 is a high-end gaming laptop that debuted in China recently. It costs 9,499 Yuan ($1,411) and includes an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card. The top-of-the-line model costs 11,699 Yuan ($1,739) and comes with the same Ryzen 7 6800H CPU and a powerful RTX 3070 Ti GPU.

Windows 11 is supported by both the Legion R9000P and Legion R7000P. The former, on the other hand, has a 16-inch display with a 2K resolution, 500 nits of peak brightness, and a 165Hz refresh rate. DC dimming, HDR, AMD FreeSync, Nvidia G-Sync, and Dolby Vision are also supported. This gaming laptop also has 16GB of DDR5 RAM running at 4800MHz and 512GB of SSD storage. It has a Frost Blade Cooling System 4.0 for thermal management, just like the R7000P 2022 model. This model also comes with an 80Whr battery that can be charged via a USB Type C port.


Both the Lenovo Legion R7000P 2022 and Legion R9000P 2022 are currently available for pre-order in China and will be released on June 17, 2022. Notably, the brand is also offering a $1,000 Yuan (roughly $150) introductory offer that is valid for both gaming notebooks.
