The Poco F4 5G is about to be unveiled. Despite the fact that the brand has yet to reveal the launch date, it has begun to tease the features. Simultaneously, the device has been leaked multiple times, revealing almost all of its details. In the midst of this, a report claims that the Poco F4 Pro 5G was supposed to be released, but it is no longer the case.

Xiaomi, the parent company of Redmi and Poco, was working on the Poco F4 Pro 5G until recently, according to Xiaomiui. However, it appears that the company has abandoned its plans to bring this device to market.

The Poco F4 5G is a rebranded Redmi K40S with a 64MP primary camera instead of a 48MP sensor, for those unfamiliar. Similarly, the Poco F4 Pro 5G is based on the Redmi K50 Pro, according to MIUI code.

The Mediatek Dimensity 9000 chipset is found in only a few smartphones, including the Redmi K50 Pro codenamed 'Matisse.' It's also one of the few handsets in the upper mid-range with a 2K AMOLED display that supports Dolby Vision.

Xiaomiui claims that until April 19, Xiaomi had been working on internal MIUI builds for the Poco F4 Pro 5G. The blog speculates that the phone may have been cancelled because the last software build was released nearly two months ago.

It's worth noting, however, that the Poco F4 Pro 5G's branding recently appeared on the Poco F4 5G's promo page. There are no other concrete proofs for the launch of this smartphone, so it could be a typo.
