Recent iPads, such as the iPad Pro 2021, have top-of-the-line capabilities and can function as a laptop. iPads, on the other hand, provide a phone-like experience. With the next big iPadOS version, this is expected to change. The iPadOS 16, which will be unveiled at the next Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), will have a revamped multitasking interface, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

The next major OS upgrade for iPad owners will be iPadOS 16. Some of the enhancements planned in iPadOS 16 include the ability to see open applications and move between jobs more easily, resize app windows, and let users to manage numerous apps at once. The iPadOS 16's additional features are kept under wraps.

The M1 chip is used in both iPad Pros and Macs. While the former may be used as a laptop by adding peripherals such as a keyboard and mouse, it does not provide the same fluid laptop/desktop experience as a Mac. Hopefully, the iPadOS 16 will deliver a multitasking experience similar to that of a laptop.

Apple is expected to allow iPads with the M1 processor to run professional software like xCode, Logic Pro, and Final Cut Pro, according to rumours. On M1 iPads, the business may potentially launch a function dubbed Apple Mixer. When a keyboard and trackpad are connected, it will let users to open programmes in full screen mode, which will automatically shrink when a keyboard and trackpad are attached.

Between June 6 and June 10, the iPadOS 16 will be unveiled. Apple will also release other software upgrades for iOS, MacOS, watchOS, and tvOS at the same event. Apple will give developers a sneak peek at iPadOS 16 and give them beta access. Apple will enhance the iPadOS 16 experience in the following months before making it accessible to consumers later this year.
