MediaTek unveiled three new chipsets last month: the Helio G99, Dimensity 930, and Dimensity 1050. According to a tweet from Infinix Mobile, it will be the first company to release a phone using the Helio G99 processor.

The Helio G99 processor would be used in a forthcoming Infinix Note 12 phone, according to the company. The Infinix Note 12, Note 12 G96 (called Note 12 Turbo in India), Note 12i, and Note 12 VIP are all members of the Note 12 family.

The Helio G88 and G85 chipsets are used in the Note 12 and Note 12i, respectively, while the Helio G96 is used in the Note 12 G96 and Note 12 VIP. As a result, it looks that the next Note 12 model, which will be powered by the Helio G99, will be the most powerful handset in the series. It's still unclear if it'll be called the Note 12 Pro or something else.
The Helio G99 is built on TSMC's 6nm technology and has 2 x Cortex-A76 CPU cores running at 2.2GHz, 6 x Cortex-A55 cores running at 2GHz, and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU with support for up to a 108-megapixel camera. It does not, however, offer 5G connectivity. This month might see the launch of the Helio G99-powered Note 12 series phone.

The Note 12 VIP is the family's most powerful phone right now. It features a 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display, a 16-megapixel front camera with dual-LED flash, a triple camera unit with 108-megapixel (main) + 13-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (depth) flash, the Helio G96 chipset, up to 8 GB of RAM, up to 256 GB of native storage, a 4,500mAh battery with 120W fast charging, and the Helio G96 chipset.
