In India, the OnePlus 8T can be purchased for less than Rs 30,000. The smartphone was first released in 2020, and its price was reduced in June of last year. The base model was available for Rs 38,999 after the price decrease, while the top model was offered for Rs 41,999.
The OnePlus 8T has now seen a significant price reduction. The 8GB + 128GB model costs Rs 28,999, while the 12GB + 256GB model costs Rs 31,999. On OnePlus's official website, the new cost is shown.
When the OnePlus 8T was released two years ago, it was a popular smartphone. A 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate is included. It has a 48MP + 16MP + 5MP + 2MP quad-camera configuration on the back and a 16MP front-facing selfie camera. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 865 CPU and has a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging capabilities. Only the Android 13 upgrade will be available for the OnePlus 8T, which is currently running on Android 12.
Because the OnePlus 8T is already two years old, it is already obsolete, and there are many other phones in the same price range with superior specs, such as the iQOO Neo 6 and Motorola Edge 30. Notably, even phones in the Rs 15,000–Rs 30,000 pricing range nowadays have OnePlus 8T-like or even superior features.
As a result, getting the outdated OnePlus 8T solely because of the price decrease is not recommended.
