h2 style="text-align: left;">OnePlus has included the iconic alert slider on its devices since the launch of the OnePlus 2 in 2015. However, since the merger of OnePlus and OPPO, many of the brand's devices have been missing the slider.
This was primarily due to the fact that most of OnePlus' recent mid- and lower-end devices were rebranded OPPO devices. Many customers were confused when the OnePlus Ace/OnePlus 10R was released, as it was a premium mid-range device that lacked an alert slider.
Now, according to tipster Yogesh Brar's recent tweet, there may be very few devices that come with an alert slider in the future. According to the source, the OnePlus Nord 2T, which was just released, was the last mid-range device to have an alert slider. The alert slider will only be available in the Pro models and some OPPO flagships in the future.
This means that in the future, customers will have to pay a lot of money to use the physical alert slider. There is currently no explanation as to why this decision was made. However, this could be due to OnePlus's use of rebranded OPPO devices as their mid-range offerings, or it could simply be to keep the feature more exclusive.
