Europe will soon get Huawei MateBook D 16 and MateBook 16s with 12th generation Intel CPUs

The MateBook D 16 and MateBook 16s with 12th generation Intel CPUs were announced by Huawei last month. That was just intended for China, but Huawei intends to also sell those two in Europe.


At a gathering in Istanbul, Turkey, the two computers were displayed. The recently debuted Huawei Nova Y90 and the Y70 joined them as well as the foldable flagship Huawei Mate Xs 2. (which was previously unveiled). Additionally, the Huawei MatePad Paper, a 10.3" e-ink tablet, was demonstrated (if that sounds interesting, check out our review).

returning to the laptops The two 16" Windows 11 computers will be made available in Europe soon, although Huawei has yet to provide pricing specifics and any specific launch information.


For a 16-inch laptop, the Huawei MateBook D 16's aluminium chassis weights 1.7kg (3.75lbs) and measures 18.4mm in thickness. It boasts an amazing visual quality with 100% sRGB coverage, a 1,200:1 contrast ratio, and 300 nits of brightness. It sports a 16:10 IPS LCD (1,920 x 1,200px, 142ppi) resolution.

The Intel Core i5-12450H or the Core i7-12700H are the two CPU options. The latter has the more powerful Iris Xe graphics while the former has UHD Graphics (48 EU, 1.2GHz) (96 EU, 1.4GHz). Dedicated graphics are not a possibility.





The laptop may be configured with 8 or 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage (NVMe SSD). The laptop contains two USB-C connections that may be used for charging and a 60Wh battery (one also does DisplayPort). A USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 connector, a USB 2.0 port, an HDMI port, and a 3.5mm combination headphone/mic jack are also included. The required USB cable and 65W power converter are included with the MateBook D 16.

The MateBook D 16 also comes with an AMD processor (Ryzen 4600H), although today's announcement was mostly about the Intel-powered variant.



Another 16" laptop is the Huawei MateBook 16s, although its display has a 3:2 aspect ratio (2,520 x 1,680px resolution). It is still an IPS LCD with 100% sRGB coverage, and even better, it has factory calibration with a deltaE average of less than 1 and increased contrast at (1,500:1). (i.e. as good as can be).


The H-series of 12th generation Intel CPUs, with a 40W TDP, are also used in this one. It is also available with dual-channel RAM and an NVMe SSD.
