As a result of the Xiaomi TV screen breaking, the firm has released a new self-test application for its smart TV in China. This new app will alert users if their Xiaomi TV's panel is in danger of falling apart.

Last weekend, the Chinese tech giant published the new EA70 Self Check app in China. For those who are unaware, we previously reported on two occurrences in which the display panel of the brand's smart TVs fell off. The first incidence occurred at a company's reception area, while the second occurred at a user's residence. The screen came off in both situations without the use of any external pressures.

Xiaomi had first claimed that these two incidences were one-offs and uncommon occurrences. However, the firm has recently come out to say that two batches produced between February 14th and March 20th had a problem. This spurred it to release a self-check app on the App Store, which would allow consumers to verify if their devices are up to date.

Furthermore, the business revealed that for EA70 TVs covered by the special service package, it will provide free on-site servicing. Users can also make an appointment for on-site maintenance by contacting the official customer support. It is also providing a two-year extended warranty service for EA70 televisions.
